Mr Adrian Carson
Adrian Carson has 20 years of experience working in the Indigenous health sector and is currently the CEO of the Institute for Urban Indigenous Health. Previously, Mr Carson has been the CEO of the Queensland Aboriginal & Islander Health Council (QAIHC), the peak body for unity controlled health services in Queensland for a number of years, as well as having worked in both the State and Commonwealth Health departments. He has played a key role in leading and managing change, more recently in relation to the implementation of the COAG Close the Gap and Health and Hospitals reform agenda. Mr Carson is currently a member of the Ministerial Committee, the National Indigenous Health Equality Council and a member of the working group set up nationally to advise the Minister on governance arrangements in Indigenous health.
